Granny’s Inherited Jewellery
Nearly every women has a piece of jewellery in her jewellery box that she is not wearing. Have you inherited jewellery and found your granny’s engagement ring is too large for you, her old fashion broach that is not your style or do you have a pendent that was given to you many years ago and you are tiered off. Lets face it, leaving it in the drawer won’t do it any justice.
When the jewel is set with diamonds, it might be worth resetting the diamonds on a new mount. If it has a semi-precious stone set in it you could revamp the jewellery by adding a few small diamonds around the centre stone. A ring that is too large can be made smaller and a gift you never liked can turn to your favourite.
It will normally cost a lot less than buying a new jewellery of the same kind. If it is something you have inherited at least it will be in use as a regular reminder of the person previously owned it.
At H & D Diamonds we can help by either sourcing a new mount to set the diamonds or the gemstones and create a new jewellery out of the old one you don’t wear. Alternatively, we offer a bespoke service done by a Bond street jeweller who can create your dream jewellery using the diamonds or gemstones you already had. Please call 0845 600 5557 if you are after changing an unused jewellery.
